Funk Brother Eddie Willis Needs Help

There's a thread on the Soulful Detroit Forum about Funk Brother Eddie Willis needing help getting the airfare for him to go to LA for an upcoming Funk Bros 'Hollywood star' award ceremony.

The thread has a link that takes you to an ebay page where a CD & signed poster are being auctioned to raise the sum necessary.

I'd post the link to the SDF thread & the ebay page up but unfortunately I'm on a 'hotels'computer that doesn't allow me to copy & paste stuff like that. I'm sure some other SSourcer can post up the required links.

To find the (US) ebay page ..............

just select the Entertainment memorabilia section & then type in ..... Motown Northern Soul Legends: Signed Print ....... & the page will come up.

It has been posted on ebay by .......... drewkj ......... so I suppose you could also use his ID as a search prompt.

first im aware of the funks being honoured, so thanks for that...has there been any correspondance in american papers about this?, usually they're spot on...great though that they're getting this...its long overdue and its only right that eddie is there to witness it, cant believe he's down on his luck, especially after all the exposure in the last 10 years.

dave, i think everybody would say that its a duty berry gordy should fulfill regardless of who tells him...its in his best interest to look after the people who looked after him for the first 15 years of his reign. its hard to believe he would have such a scant regard for these musicians or maybe im wrong?
