Scotters Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Can anyone tell me the current price of this one on 45 ? cheers Don Not sure if you're buying or selling Don. If buying and want to save a few quid to get this great track with some rather nice deep soul things too, then his LP on Guinness can be picked up for around £50-£100 depending on condition. Very high quality recording it is too. Cheers, Steve. 2
Arthur Fenn Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 rare one has the larger typset, i'd say £350 on that £200ish on other. 1
Dave Pinch Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Recently on Ebay sold for £190. https://www.ebay.co.u...cvip=true&rt=nc ROD i bought that rod and was the only bidder......took a chance..high start bid...in poland and seller had little feedback..probably scared folk off.but it arrived all good 1
Dave Pinch Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 the guiness lp is worth buying for nobody loves me like you baby..as well as a slightly diff take of he broke your game... 3
Guest Dave Turner Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) A review of the Guinness album here. Obviously one may agree or disagree with the guy's comments https://badcatrecords...t/DELLfrank.htm One thing's for sure he's a great voice For my ears the following sound nice on his CD's (short clips on Dell's own site below) Taxi I Stand Accused Sweet Love Songs Daily Lovin' Welcome Home and that cut of Cornelius Brother's "Too Late To Turn Back Now" sounds great. https://www.frankdell.com/media Edited February 21, 2013 by Dave Turner

Popular Post Barry Posted February 21, 2013 Popular Post Posted February 21, 2013 When you hear the original Valise recording it blows your socks off - the production for the time is amazing. 4

Guest MrC Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 What a dull record this is. Will not make it onto "The Thinking Man's Oldies" Not as dull as Sammy Ward 'Sister Lee', even my kids call it "that boring record" Love Frank Dell!
Ted Massey Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I put one in my sales box recently for Rugby having paid a fiver for it in the 80's i hadnt put a price on it but the back of the sleve showed a 100 quid from some other sale, old Charlie mac nearly had a heart attack thinking he had got a bargain sold it for 300 in the end 1
Dave Pinch Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 i bought it originally in 1991 for a fiver from big kev from mexboro he thought it was a boot..i wanted it but put him straight on the matter,,, he was impressed so he let me have it for a fiver anyway as long as i went to the bar and bought him a pint...happy days...sold it late 90`s for 75 to andy lees...only just got one back all the way from poland 1
Barry Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Now you see Sam Ward rings my bell, again for the production - it's just a stone groove, it wallops that bassline out.
Dave Pinch Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 anita ward ring my bell barry...... ........seriously tho i never got sam ward...bored with it after 30 seconds...i didnt get bari track either tho i did buy it for the other side 1

Dave Pinch Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 spot on pete with no2 edging it..although i would have swapped the uptights for frank dell
Pete S Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 (edited) spot on pete with no2 edging it..although i would have swapped the uptights for frank dell Well it's all subjective Dave, I didn't think that many people would know The Uptights, or things like The Voices, I know I included one or two 'top 500' things but in general it's stuff I would have played if I dj'd, or would like to hear someone play. They're meant to run together like a dj set. Not to be taken too seriously. Edited February 22, 2013 by Pete S 1
bri pinch Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 some great tunes on that list pete , having had or still got most of em
