Premium Stuff Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 (edited) Hi everyone Am I right in thinking that the yellow issue is harder than the white demo of this? Popsike seems all over the place. What is a decent selling price on a yellow issue please? Great Detroit double sider Cheers Richard Edited February 16, 2013 by Premium Stuff
Pat Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Hi, J.M. has one up for £50 .....so you can bet it's worth about £35 /40 1
Pete S Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) Neither are rare are they? £25 tops. Fantastic record though. Edited February 17, 2013 by Pete S 1
Premium Stuff Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 A few on Popsike over the £50 mark - couple around the £70 mark. Cheers Richard
dthedrug Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 HI ALL... As PETE SMITH state both are excellent DETROIT 45's however even better is "It;s Love" on CORRECTONE 1053, Which is one of the very best NORTHERN SOUL RECORDS of all time, and as such a bit more rarer £100 mint, DAVE K
Tlscapital Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Sorry, but can't agree at ALL l; 'it's love' is plain weak to me. Had it and got rid of it (cheap both ways). Not bad as such, just rather boring and MOR. Another one of those not so "well put together" Correc-tone's second life around. Unlike Wilson Picket and Gino Washington who are all time greats 4 both sides, none of the following Correc-tones releases achieved any musical greatness no matter how much money the command. While Theresa 'Daddy-O' is brilliant all the way OOZING with as much soul as groove. You can play it home or in a club out loud It is as suttel as heavy. It's pleasure to the ear as to the feet. The Golden World one is/was more common than the Correc-tone. True ! Or was to become... but the reasons why are obvious; one is much better than the other one. Cheers, Tim HI ALL... Cheers, Tim And I'll disagree with you and agree with Dave that "It's Love" is one of the greatest Detroit records made, with Van McCoy somewhere in on the act (can't remember whether he was just the writer or he arranged it).
Pete S Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 A few on Popsike over the £50 mark - couple around the £70 mark. Cheers Richard That's just a joke. Must be 100,000 copies in the UK, easily. I'll never sell this for more than £25 for an issue or £30 for a demo.

Pete S Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 But isn't the issue harder - so in theory should be more expensive? Cheers Richard IN theory, yes, but in this case, neither are hard, thats what I'm saying...also I've had more issues than demos so...
