Guest espo Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Anyone tell me how to spot the difference between the original andthe 70s boot on smoke Steve
Guest Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 (edited) Apparently the 76 boot is a pretty close resemblance ,The Styrenes are boots blue and yellow also labels have a shiny appearence. Deffinate originals have the tinyest matrix on Both sides which looks like a B and the edges of the record are sharp. Be careful on jpgs the shiny surface on boots are a bit like that car paint in that when moved to a different angle takes on a different hugh eg green blue not solid blue if you get me? Ted Massey Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 There are almost exact copies of the real ones the best way to tell if it has a "Pb"in the runout grooves that the boot, Salvadors and Johnny Vannelli are similar.Think it was K R that did them
bozaboy Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Who's "K R" and isn't bootlegging, i.e. stealing someone elses work illegal? I think we should be told, name and shame I say, stop hiding behind initials if you know. The view from the moral high ground is just luvverley!
Dave Pinch Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 2 boots on styrene. 1 blue and 1 yellow. 1 boot on vinyl blue label with p.b. in runout. original on vinyl no p.b. and the run in grooves about 3 mil wider but all seen together orig looks well "grander" if yer know what i mean dave
