Seen 2 for sale this week on ebay, one an absolute bargain & one (still unsold) @ £500

Ace Randy cozens discovery from the 80s

whom i bought my original copy from

The recording is lo fi as Tony mentioned but if you whack it up sounds great out loud

And the b side is a great ballad

Not many of these floating about

The one i won came from crazy beat records in upminster essex and it was the only soul item on there auction

Glad its back in the collection

The strange thing is Al the "other" side is as clear as a bell while as we all agree Be Somebody is lofi very frustrating

Went for over 700 on a manship (say no more) auction 2/3 years ago, certainly goes for more than 300 :huh:

Anyway it's a US only why would you want it :thumbup:

I've tried to like it Tony, I can see the fascination people have with it, that's one of the good things about collecting rare soul, there are loads of very distinct sounds out there, but this just never had enough of anything to really grab me to be honest..

Love it - and the cymbal crash at the ending is the maddest soul finale of all time !!!

Managed to find the acetate on a trip to NY, which plays with a decent sound unlike the released 45.

I had a copy of Gloria hill fom John A when he was trading as Groove city in Portland st , so it must have been 1974 paid £1
