Paddy Ferry Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Could anyone tell what sort of value would this be and is it obtainable, thanks.
Guest MrC Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Would have thought Pete Smith (Pete S) would know. Uk release wasn't it? Deram? Edited February 12, 2013 by MrC
Pete S Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Depends who you buy it off I suppose. I sell it from £100 to £150, I've had 5 or 6 copies. I can see other dealers asking £300 for it. Here is an interesting fact about Jenny Wren. People think she didn't record again after her two Fontana 45's but she did, on Major Minor and on Beacon as Jenny Darren and reportedly Jenny Dee.. Did a good version of Come See About Me on Beacon. Guest MrC Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Great 60s female vocal tune, I love it, always reminds me of a mate of mine who's no longer with us (Crispi), he did love his uk stuff.
bri pinch Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 Great tune, sold to a friend for £30, back in the 90t's cos i thort her need for it was greater than mine
dthedrug Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 HI ALL Good info from Pete as usual, info like this makes collecting come alive, Value of this RARE UK item is hard, as many UK COLLECTORS have had the same record for many years in 2013 £100+ should be right! but with rubbish records selling for £100, I would expect that £200 is the minimum to pay, It's almost impossible to collect rare UK Records today,as most rare records start around £100 in mint condition, for the 35 45s that I need to complete my UK Collection you are talking £12K makes you think! JENNY WREN is from DUDLEY* DAVE K *INFO FROM PETE SMITH BEATIN RYTHM
Platters 81 Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Paddy from Stoke used to have this........played it round mine many times.......happy days .
