Guest Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 (edited) there's a few sellers on there selling them from what i can make out the difference between the first issue is on the try my love side under the dionn lable's name it say's, from the jamie guyden cd the northern side of philly soul jamie 4019 and the pressings dont say that plus underneath the title on both sides the number should read 1401, the pressing is 508 Edited February 14, 2013 by Guest
Lambretta Gp 200 Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 yes thats correct 1401 on both sides
Dave Rimmer Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 from the jamie guyden cd the northern side of philly soul jamie 4019 and the pressings dont say that Which is quite ironic because that's where the bootleggers will have got it from
Sjclement Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 The girl across the street side is about 4mins+ (Tom Moulton remix?) yet states 2mins30secsw on the lable. The try my love side has the same dead ending as the cd
Guest micksdcfc Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 THERE GOES ANOTHER TOP TUNE BEING RIPPED OFF AGAIN U will find a lot more via these sellers tshirtsandthings2011, quietlifenow, soulfulrecords-12, getitshifted, shaunshaun1966. All linked back to Robin Burnett via fake names/addresses and his former cell mate Alan Godfrey. Then try his distributors like Steve Russell(West Midlands Soul club) trading on ebay as jhrussells or Soulon45, Funboy365 from Cornwall. and funksister45 I got the warts n all info at a recent Grosvenor-Sutton do and confirmed at the Skeggy Butlins a couple of weeks ago. If you want to kno where all the boots are coming from....above names contribute a staggering amount. 1

I Think sometimes its not wise to put up peoples names, unless there is factual evidence as it could lead to legal action/complaints against the site or individuals who put up such posts.. Whilst the practice of copying and producing un-lincenced records, cds etc is to be frowned on there are legal processes to deal with this and such information and intelligence, should be passed on to the relevant law enforcement agency. Such comments as"I got the warts and all info" would not provde the basis of a sound defence in any libel action.
Agentsmith Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 if i remember correct, man responsible for the cd and a host of others, was dave brown, a philadelphian dj...i would imagine he;s not best pleased about this...asuming he already knows, as he put a lot of work into getting these tracks legitimately licensed, the one in particular here would be long since deleted, never reissued and the limited run on the 7" would also apply, hence the price it fetches now ( and its being successfully played again ) this aside, its a great tune and one of the best discoveries of the first decade of the millenium.
