Paul R
Not just nice - its wonderful. IMO of course - can't think of anyone else 10 yards from me who likes it Is this a different Bobby Bennet to the one that used to present Junior Showtime, and did a version of "You're Ready Now"? If it is, Paul Link to comment Social source share
Garethx
This Bobby Bennett is a former Famous Flame, apparently. He had a mighty voice and made a handful of singles in Philadelphia in the sixties and early seventies with releases on V-Tone, Junior, Phil LA of Soul and Philadelphia International among others. All of these are really good soul records. Link to comment Social source share

Guest
Bit Elvis, Karen? It's not even remotely 'Elvis', unless you mean the flip which is an early R&B number which is not that good. Link to comment Social source share

Keith Money
A fantastic tune which I first heard played by Tim Brown on a "Rare Soul" radio show at the first Cala Gran weekender in Blackpool, I eventually managed to get a copy and have played it out at a few times (It went down well at the Greatstone I remember) a lot of his tunes are definately worth looking out for. Chalky
Andy Dyson the first I heard play this out some years ago now, since then it's been one of my all time faves, simply one of the best beat ballads ever Link to comment Social source share
Soul-slider
There is a boot going around...white demo. Seen it on ebay a few times from some guy in the States, realised they were snyde when another guy had one (German I think?) and he was honest enough to say they're pressings. V-Tone is a very early label, there's loadsa stuff on it from the late 50's early 60's by run of the mill artists. Link to comment Social source share

Pretty sure these were done some years ago as it's popular with US Island Soul collectors and pretty scarce. Link to comment Social source share

The V-Tone boot very easy to spot, it's got a preforation mark or dotted line round the inside edge of label. There's also another boot (Canadian I think) which is very rare, only 100 pressed, saw one sold for £200 not so long ago.
