Hi guys,

quick question really.

I have recently sold a copy of this and the buyer think's it is a reissue the one I sold him as the text on the copy is in capitals.

He sent me pic of another one on popsike.com and it does look a little different.

So is the one i sold him a original copy or not?

I got it when i was in USA so just assumed it was original and on original label one-der-ful 4851

the one i sold him:

and the one on Popsike.com

No mention in Manship's 5th or 6th guides about this ever been bootlegged. Going to check my copy now :)

mine is the same as the one in the popsike picture, interesting to note though that the b-side title "All FOR YOU" is printed in capitols.

That is strange.

Must of been pressed at a different plant like Pete said.

Same here. Always believed it to be an original copy. Never big enough to justify Booting i should imagine. Can't see why though, lovely voice, quality track IMHO.

Got 8 copies of "don't leave me" as it's fantastic, and yes there are different texts as PeteS said, also "Wait till etc" was relaesed on yellow as well as multicoloured (again got several copies as its so good). To me sounds more Detroit than Detroit.

some reverse label copies also......must have been a hit in chicago..common and should be cheap as chips....but a quality 45

I remember it getting a little play on WVON. I certainly wasn't a "hit". I saw many boxes of it at United Record Distributors (owned by The Leaner Bros, (as was One-Derful/Mar-V-Lus/M-Pac Records) as late as the beginning of the 1970s.

it was one of the first import soul 45 i ever bought ..cost me 50p..i was destraught to find out it had reversed labels,,but over the years ive had a few copies and i`m not a dealer..only the first one was reversed...was always very common so assumed as with WTIGTKY that it was a local hit
