Sebastian Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) Haven't seen any mention of this on here, but it might be of interest to some of you. A documentary about Mel Cheren and West End Records called "The Godfather Of Disco" turned up on YouTube a couple of days ago. Well worth a look: Edited February 10, 2013 by Sebastian 1

Guest Nick Harrison Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) Indeed well worth a look. A great Gene Graham documentary with proof that Simon Dunmore is still alive in the UK - much bigger and bolder - perhaps ! A well documented piece including New York's Vinyl Mania and The Sound Factory for those who journeyed well past period northern soul. Difining disco as all thing's dance music. Lets not forget Mothers Fathers Sister Brothers (MFSB) - Vince Montana and Tom Moulton. Larry Levan's influences ruled which is greatly valued by Little Louie Vega, Junior (Get Your Hands Off A My Man) Vasquez, Danny Kravits, Jellybean (Baby Face) Benitez, Tony Humphries, Cory Robbin's, The Baker Boys, Frankie Knuckles and Jonh Dynell. With respect from related artist as Barbara Mason, Ultra Nate, Barbara Tucker, Frankie Crocker and Joi Cardwell. Thanks Seb for posting. Edited February 10, 2013 by Nick Harrison 1
