Not much round the boot sales nowadays record wise but now the car boot season is upon us after the last 2 days of getting up at around 5am and mainly trying to buy antique and collectable items (which i do for a living) along with a Clarice Cliff Fantasque bowl for £3.00 have also picked up loads of UK 45s early on including the ones below for little or nothing which is nice to do and make the early starts more worth while.

I know you said anyone had anything recently, well it's certainly getting harder to get stuff on the old boot sales these days. When they first started in the mid 80's you could get some real gems! I once wrote down (for a fanzine article) some of the stuff i've had from boot sales and charity shops....here's 37 I picked up earlier in my life....all for less than a quid and all very collectable!

I went to one on Sunday. I left Johnny Dynamite boot for 30p and Gloria Lynne LP on Paul Winley label inc "Tower of Strength" for £1. Both in Mintish nick. Should I have left them or am I too fussy.

Could have stuck em on ebay and made a profit (maybe). I have the Gloria Lynne l.p too, only bought it for THAT one tune, the rest of it's crap!

Some of the stuff I found I managed to get top dollar/trades for, others i've let go far too cheaply and can't get replacements...Embers, Huns Review, Donald Height....

I don't get to many carboots nowadays as have to take the little lad to footie practice now ... but my mate Billy Jones in Cardiff gets some cracking bargains when he goes to them down there ... always rings me up about 11am saying "hey, guess what I just got down the bootie"
