paultp
Hi, Wonder if anybody in Sweden could tell me how much to post 7 x 45s in a 45 mailer (with no stiffeners!) to the UK please. Bought some records from the US and they have turned up with a Swedish post paid label on them (which was surprising) but no postage price. Just want to check that I haven't been overcharged for postage. Weight on customs sticker (in english?) is 1 lb (are the swedish still on imperial weight?). The whole thing is a bit odd. Thanks Paul Link to comment Social source share
Pete S
Sometimes when you buy records from Craig Moerer, they come with Dutch postmarks on them. Sorry, not Swedish I'm afraid but just as weird. Link to comment Social source share
Guest brickiesondecks
Had a similar problem with some Jamaican sellers. Record is listed on Ebay as being located in Brooklyn, New York. Then it arrives with Jamaican postage stamps on it-------- 6 to 8 weeks later !!!!!!!!!!!! Link to comment Social source share
paultp
I'm waiting for a few more from the same seller so I'll see what happens with them. Odd though. Link to comment Social source share

Thanks Paul The exact same thing happened to me today - 6 45's no stiffeners from the US with Swedish postage. I was happy with the postage $7 plus $1 per additional 45 - I often buy off the fellow - if he has one I want I will often buy additional cheapos off him because of the cost of postage. Andreas
Hi, The swedish post is probably the expensivest in Europe. I can´t tell you exactly how much it will cost to send 7 45s to the UK, but for an example.. one to two 45´s (up to 250gram) simply shipping to UK cost 48,-SEK (£4.70) registerd shipping 123,-SEK (£12.00)!!! I suppose you 7 45s will have wight of about 800gram and will cost at least £9.00 regular £16.00 registered!! try to find out more on the swedish post side which is in english as well (not in every parts!) I had a quick look, but they don´t really promote their prices ... https://www.posten.se/en/shop/Pages/Shop.aspx by the way.. I´ve sent recently my broken laptop to a friend in Germany to repair it, the wight was about 2.2kg ..I took the cheapest shipping offer, guess what I paid... £40!!!! but insurance up to £50 included Link to comment Social source share
Andreas
forgot about that..... if the seller is packaging your records, he should try to keep the parcel smaller than 250x250x30 mm then it will be posted as letter and is cheaper and goes faster good luck, andreas Link to comment Social source share
