Mark Bicknell Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 £25.00 agree with Shane but try finding one not as easy as the price would suggest, as stated ben around years but never really got that much turntable action, perfect for today's gigs well worth a play. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
Jumpinjoan Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 (edited) Easy peasy to get .... Tim Brown's got one..... £40 a little more than my friends quoted ... but worth every penny imo ..... GREAT RECORD i got mine off ebay a couple of years ago ... and paid around £15-20 for it then ... and was very happy to do so .. just great! Edited May 1, 2006 by jumpinjoan
Guest Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Check out his "A Girl From A Country Town" on Rapda,an other fine record from Lee and The Cymbals.

Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Heard this in dodgy cellar bar in London last night, great tune, never heard it before. In fact I heard quite a few I hadnt heard before. Nice tune this one!! Alan LW and the C's are my all time favourite East Coast soul harmony group. "I Love You More" and "I'll Be Gone" (also on Carnival) is a strong contender for the greatest two sided group soul record ever made. ActuallyI don't believe that they ever made a bad record (not even "Shingaling USA"). Lee is a nice guy, too - he's still around, lives in the Bronx and sings with Sonny Bivins' version of the Manhattans. He still sings beautifully, too.... TONE

vaultofsouler Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 i love it at the moment. been around for years i know but one i would like to hear more of arnie, carnival records £25? Shane Used to play this out quite a bit at Ponds Forge Shane about 3-4 years ago.... in fact put it on the 3rd Anniversary CD back in September 2003.... if you've got one of the CDs Shane then you'll have it.... still occasionally gets an airing nowadays as well.... Like "big daddy" says not an easy one to pick up although a "cheapie".... one of those you just don't seem to see for sale that often.... Not sure why but Nick's copy sounds a little slower than my recording.... or maybe it's my ears .... Check out his "A Girl From A Country Town" on Rapda,an other fine record from Lee and The Cymbals. Good call.... that's had a play or two in the last couple of years also.... here's a soundfile.... And this one .... i know i need to get a new copy ... but you'll get the drift Might as well go for the "hat-trick".... a cleaner copy for you to copy on to your PC Joan....

Yeh, he did finally manage to find a copy a few months back after searching one out after hearing it played out back then.... can never get my head round why a lot of the cheaper stuff can be hard to get hold of quickly and easily... Remind whoever's on first to play it Shane....
