Wilxy Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Is there anyway of knowing, the difference between the Little Roger Hatcher mis-press/Hank Johnson-Lost Love-Ten High, if one was seen listed etc. other than asking the seller which I naively failed to do! Thinking that the disc again naively was a mis-press full stop (Doh), I bought one a couple of weeks ago, and I was excitedly awaiting the mis-press to pound out of my speakers, having smugly thought I'd picked up a copy at a snip.....alas disappointedly, Hank himself chose to make his debut on my eardrums, and my smugness turned to extreme disappointment within a couple of revolutions of my turntable! The only way I can describe the feeling was like losing my wallet fully laden, and getting a parking ticket whilst looking for it! It has made my quest in locating mr. Hatchers' effort even more determined, so if anyone can either enlighten me or furthermore, point me in the direction of a copy, please do so. Thanks for sharing my "grief", in reading the above, and I eagerly await a sympathetic response Cheers wilxy 1
Pomonkey Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 (edited) Still think one of the weirder coincidences in soul collecting is that as well as the mis-press of the Ten High label "Get a hold of yourself" there's also the one-off alternate version by Lee Jennings on Dottys, what are the chances of the same, obscure song being mis-pressed twice!? Have owned both, still have the Lee Jennings, far and away the better one. If you want to spot the ten High mispress just look for the deadwax markings, if it's 103A and B plus a 95 then you're smiling Edited January 23, 2013 by pomonkey 2
