Guest Gogs Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 (edited) I bought a copy of this from a friend many years ago, he swore it was an original but the label had come of so he had replaced it with a replica of a "dj copy" label. I have never played this out as i have always been unsure as to its authenticity. Can anybody confirm what the proper deadwax reading should be for both original dj copy and original issue copy please. Edited January 17, 2013 by Gogs
Sjclement Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 The MGM reissue was styrene I'm sure that all the Verve copies were vinyl ranging from very thick and heavy to quite thin and flimsy the latter being a later (re) issue Hope this helps 1
Benji Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 If all originals were vinyl then Gogs copy is a reissue isn't it? Never heard of label coming off a vinyl press.
Guest jkw Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 a lot of the orginal demos had very bad label damage, but these are vinyl - bought mine after a review by Searling (I think) in Black Echos, '75 maybe? 3 quid from Tim Brown at a Roseroom Sunday session...
Pete S Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 As said above - all the reissues were styrene. No originals on styrene.
