Corbett80 Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 I've just seen a listing on ebay for this record and it says in the blurb JM rates it at £1000 plus (its curently on the $150 odd mark)....am I going mad or have I just made the world's biggest f*ck up as I've just flogged it for £30 odd!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was fairly common r&b record......??? Can anyone shed some light? Cheers Joel
Ady Croasdell Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Another one just went for £80, listed as funk. I'm sure it's common, though (I need one) but the £1000 listing has probably made dealers buy it too.
TheBigO Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Ady, wise choice using Carl's pic for your aviator and not your own fine features, lol. It is common, seen it many times over the years but your right Ady, I'm afraid its another case of investing Soulies/dealers etc moving in thinking £1000 is a fair price! That said I wish I'd picked the bloody things up now!

Then again, if a buzz starts, they may come out the woodwork..who knows? Absolute killer tune..though john
Guest MonkeyMod Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Mulf - can I have it back please?! Holy bananas. I can't believe this. Got rid of mine cos sick to death of hearing it out every weekend for years. Feel even sicker now!
Guest Rowly Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Just put mine back in the play box! £400?? no way!
Guest Andy BB Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Surely some mistake? I thought every bugger had one, like Monkey said, heard it played out every five minutes for years. Still, once it crosses over from the Mod scene you've got a much bigger audience with much bigger pockets (cos they have much much bigger trousers). Unlucky Joel! If it makes you feel any better someone sold me a Silky Hargraves for £6 last week It doesn't? Sorry.
Kev Connellan Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Just put mine back in the play box! £400?? no way! me too Rowly
pikeys dog Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Surely a £40 record? Seen a few of these over the last couple of years...
Corbett80 Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 £400??? I can't believe this......madness.......oh well, someone just got lucky then, I'd of held onto that. Absolutely gutted, always known this as a thirty pound record probably like everyone in the mod clubs over the last few years.......
