Guest Nick Harrison Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Regardless of sound - then let's judge on choice of popularity ! Corey Blake for the masses. John Edwards for the slightly upper acknowledged. Al Mason for the higher class collector. 2
Cunnie Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Impossible to be made badly IMO. Here's the Al Mason version that get's the occasional spin from me.
Guest Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 What about Philip Mitchell's version, for me this is the buisness Chris.
Garethx Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 The Al Mason version suffers from a backing that sounds like it cost under a hundred dollars (including booking studio time) to record. Corey Blake every time on this. The John Edwards version fails to evoke any of the desolation which the lyrics suggest, which Corey Blake absolutely nails. I'm a certified John Edwards fan but he's simply going through the motions on this one. Of course John Edwards going through the motions is still better than practically 90% of other male vocalists 1
