Amsterdam Russ Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Another one here that's never had tippex on it.
Popular Post Jim Elliott Posted July 19, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 19, 2014 I vividly remember watching the 'Old Grey Whistle Test' when they did the bit on Northern ( about 85 ish and quite a good piece actually) with a youthful Ady and Roger walking down Carnaby St or somesuch and then Guy spinning it covered up and it totally blew me away then. Still does now. Along with 'Its Torture ' its one of those discoveries that helped to blow the myth that 'Northern' was finished just because the bloody Casino had shut ;) Jim. 4
Patto Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 It seems that there are so many of you that have got the anniversary 45 just how many of them were pressed. Also any idea how many of the Horaces one were done.
Popular Post Ady Croasdell Posted July 20, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 20, 2014 400 anniversary. The Horace's probably did 1000 first press and another 1000 with the bar coded second press. Either are good to play as the Horace's was the first issue available to the public, the anniversary was promos. And the Kent ones currently available are OK too as the audio is better. I use one of those when I DJ 4
Rich Buckley Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 (edited) Mine's a Horaces. Bought from a stall at Blackpool mod rally '87 or '88. Bought Roosevelt Grier at same time. When Magic Touch hit it was just incredible. Vividly remember being with Mossy at a nighter in Stoke (was it called the Longton Suite?) and the pair of us jumping over a table to get to the dancefloor as the opening bars hit the lugs. Happy days! R Edited July 20, 2014 by Rich Buckley 1

It's on the first ever compilation video / DVD I did.
Chalky Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Was 1988, that clip. It's on the first ever compilation video / DVD I did. As an aside, Guy isn't playing Magic Touch and when he talks I think the voice is Jimmy Wensiora
Pete S Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Its the Magic Touch on the clip tho ain't it ? Yes, definitely, and Doctor Love as well I think
Chalky Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Its the Magic Touch on the clip tho ain't it ? Magic Touch is the sound track yes, but the record on the deck when they show Guy when it starts isn 't Magic Touch.
