I have checked it in Manships book and the run out is 16.20mm and it has both matrix's scratched in. 6 o'clock - 5011-L-5018 2 o'clock - ZTSB132463-1A It states that the counterfeit has a raised platform on the label. Mine has a slight ridge. Can anyone else tell me if this is legit or how else to tell? I don't play boots and found this in a collection I was given. The most common one has a pronounced dip before the centre hole, if you've ever seen the first boots of Idle Few, Anderson Bros, Candi Staton, you'll see it. The second one is s superb counterfeit and I think I've only seen it once. Thinner than the previous one. Rich B Posted January 6, 2013 Share Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) Personally I think Dave Newman is pretty scarce on an original - sometimes the company it's in will give you a clue - were the rest in the collection high quality originals?
