Guest miff Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 As 1 16 year old back in 76 when I fist got into northern One 45 was the ultimate to have in your collection Eddie Parker Love you Baby. Ashford ( well it was with us ) we all had the boot but an Original was just so cool, Well I finally got one Last week at Cleethorpes and I havent Stoped playing it. I know its not the hardest record to get your mits on, But. and this may seem sad I feel like I have completed a life long ambition, Any one else got a similer tale with a certain 45
pikeys dog Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Broke mine... a pile of records fell off the side, and that on e took the brunt of the fall.

Sold 99% of my collection when bankrupt, said only 2 records would start me collecting again, one being the Liz Christian, the other that Len Barry LP. Got the L.C. on Cbs demo 2 weeks ago, so looks like i'm back in the game, only in a small way of course?! Alan
Steve G Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Broke mine... a pile of records fell off the side, and that on e took the brunt of the fall. ooh shute - bad luck. I just trod on a Scepter thing the other day trying to navigate round the record room, and heard that horrible noise of styrene cracking. Fortunately only a 25 pounder. Have previously "cracked" a Willie Tolliver and accidently ran over a Houston Outlaws when DJing on radio, when I launched my swivel chair back from the console in a moment of madness. Again that horrible sound

Not sure if it will have stood the test of time though - anyone with a soundfile????? Cheers Steve
