Pete S Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Don't remember this as a cover up in the 70s, a lot later me thinks ? I think It was what they call a local cover-up. I didn't know it til a lot later but I found an old playlist or a review where it was mentioned when I was trying to get it myself.
Sheep Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Thanks Pete, well I had a copy in 74, uncovered and i do remember Pete Widison having a copy in 76, so yes , known since the 70s for sure.
Petedillon Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 I didnt know it was covered back then until Tony Colby told me a mate of his covered it up..Think Tony actually had it covered at some point. I sold a uk demo without a centre back in the Casino days, cant recall how much though..not a lot I dont think. Any how its sold now..

You sure Pete, there's no proper demos of this as far as I know, only stamped ones
Petedillon Posted January 4, 2013 Author Posted January 4, 2013 Pete, I'm pretty certain it was a demo..mind you it was mid-Casino daze! and like a lot of us, I lost a few years back then..but if your knowledge says there werent any demos then I'll stand corrected but Ive always had a demo in my mind..in fact I'm convinced it was now thinking back.

Pete there are no Philips, Mercury or Fontana demos from 1963 to 1968, trust me. They are all stock copies with either a yellow stamp or a white sticker. Only other thing it could have been would have been a test pressing or an acetate, I've had 1-sided Philips acetates before. 1
