Think the Northern bit is over already

They were talking about the Twisted Wheel and had "You Hit Me" playing in the background as the narrative said something like Roger wasn't really into this uptempo, dance music with lush orchestral arrangements ...

Basically that was it - moving swiftly on then

Cheers

Richard

You don't expect the BBC or any other to do research do you Paul?

Don't think it was ever intended to be about the Wheel and at just 30 minutes with a lot more to his life I didn't expect to much of a reference to his time at the Wheel.

Interesting non the less.

I thought it was excellent; even if the NS element didn't stand up to the level of scrutiny it'll get from some Soul Source members. I'd been listening to R4 this morning on my way to work so it just came on as I started the car on my way home. Nice contributions from Les Hare, Tom Smith and C P Lee. Roger shaped my taste in music and I will always be grateful to him for lots of the live soul artists I would never have seen without his promoting.

Having recently read the Bill Sykes book on Roger Eagle ,found it an interesting digest.. It is available on BBC iplayer or buy the book for the fuller story.

Like others I was unware that it was to be broadcast, but happened to have the radio on whilst doing something else when it came on
