Eddyw Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 hi , is there any way visually telling what is the alt take is ( kids or people making a load of noise on the intro ) on part 1 i have a usa copy and a british chess copy they both dont have it , i did get out bid on one about six months ago which had a sound bite , i have asked a couple of times when up on ebay , they have got back to me saying it was not on the copies they were selling , does it really exist on a 45 , there is a vid on u tube with it on two girls and a bloke dancing to it , so it does exist in some sort of format , is there any way of telling by the label what the alt take is , any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks all the best Eddy

Mind I prefer the more hard driving guitar intro myself :O) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPnXPe3JT1s Edited December 22, 2012 by Mike Lofthouse

pikeys dog Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Sounds like they've dubbed the vocal off part 1 over the backing of part 2 on the regular 45.
Kris Holmes Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 never heard the part 2 before, damn british press.
Dean Rudland Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 The British press has no crowd noise, and I always presumed this was a problem with a stereo master being folded back into mono - but I had no proof of that. I never thought there were two alternate versions, so I might check this today. I also presumed that all US copies had the crowd noise, could someone confirm if this is the case?
