Ritchieandrew Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I see that John Manship has Oaxaca - Stop your crying - Mariposa 131, listed on his Auction site and describes it as " perhaps the rarest Crossover 45 we have listed in memory" My question is is it that rare ? as there are several showing on Popsike with fiishing prices ranging from $ 81 to $ 609 (U.S.D.) It certainly is a great record and it's also a B side, so does anybody on here own it, or what do people think it is worth.! Please advise. Ricardo.
boba Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I think the first few times it was on ebay it went for a lot (I think Mike Vague sold it a few times) and then interest waned. I didn't pay that much for mine. I don't like it that much but right now there are some very similar sounding latin records that are big that I don't like but that other people like a lot and that people put in their sets and mixes, so my opinion doesn't matter I guess.
Manfromsoul45s Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I have had at least 3 copies over the last 5 years or so and had one for longer than that..Reasonably obscure..maybe ultra rare. probably not..
Tony Smith Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I don't like records that I can't pronounce!
Tony Smith Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 and the label Bob! I was gonna get a bit clever, but I think I'll wait, this Margaret Little has opened something here. It's late here and I've got to work tomorrow, upside I got a Larry Laster in one piece Loma issue 65, in the time i posted a picture of Turkish Bobby Wells!
