Here's a head-scratcher for ya - what NS goodies can you never get on a US demo?

For starters - Nolan Porters' "Oh Baby", "B" side of "Singer Man" which in itself was promo'd as a double-sided ABC white demo.

Any takers?

Did US Atlantic have a spell of not doing specific demo's then Pete? I know that happened in the UK...

No mate I think they put the same track on both sides

Decca/RCA/London etc, did this as normal practice with their demos from 1955 - 1960. The reason for this was so that a radio DJ could play the B-side immediately after the A-side during one of their shows.

City Lights I've a a demo of but it's not white, it's like the issue but has the same track both sides.

RCA didn't put any demos out in the early 60's.

Nice one.

Never even seen an import of it before. Now I've seen both in one.

Actually, I meant a UK Demo of the Instrumental.

Get out of that one whistling.gif

Paul Thompson – Special kind of woman – Volt

Ujima – I’m not ready – Epic

Luther- Don’t want to be a fool – Cotillion

Charles Johnson – Never had a love so good – Alston

Vows – Tell me – VIP

The Patrick Bradley – Just one more chance – Decca VOCAL

Never seen demo’s of these either

Sam Dee Lonely for you baby – SSS Int

Constellations – I don’t know about you – Gemini Star

Can't remeber the titles, but the b sides to:

Anthony - Watson Hey Baby - PIR issues only

Ronnie McNeir - Different kind of love - Tortoise issues only

Edited by Simon T

Marv Johnson - why do you want to let me go - tamla motown tmg 525. There are no red and white demos of this.

Sons of Robin Stone - Got To Get You Back - ATCO

My demo arrived the other day with Love Is Just Around The Corner on both sides, no wonder it was 5 dollars  :shades:

In a nice ABC company sleeve though laugh.gif

Someone has mentioned the Ronnie McNeir on Tortoise which I also have a demo of

Got it now, it's called

"Good side of your love"

You mean you have a red demo with "City Lights" both sides? That's cool. I found the same Jerry Naylor, on red Tower with the correct issue number, last year, but mine has the "wrong" track both sides. Grrrr.

As opposed to the demo which is a different kind
