markgarcia1824 Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Finally got myself a copy of this beautiful Detroit modern rarity. Sins of Satan "Mother Nature" on Ecology. I was first turned on to this track though a mix Arron Anderson did for Jazzman about three or four years ago. There were some great tracks in that mix. Heres a link to the mix if you are curious. https://www.breakself.com/mixes/5 2

Right place, right time, lucky enough to be able to scramble and grab the cash from an ATM to secure it. A VG+ copy of Joe Williams "I Started to Run" on Alpha went into my box yesterday! Holy f***!!! Found by a friend at an estate sale and then purchase by me an hour later! I still am in a bit of disbelief.

Yes, Billy Adams..I need your love...london issue. release4d 1969. ( think its a 1960 recording though). Cant seem to find a U.S release. Says recorded by PPX enterprises. Nice version what you've got there. will have to have a looksie for one.

Says recorded by PPX enterprises. Nice version what you've got there. will have to have a looksie for one. Yes, I like the B side of the Billy Adams 45. The Harold Conner 45 is one of those that normally has a couple of pen crosses on the "plug" A side which, if you like a good ballad, is well worth a listen in it's own right. I hadn't heard it so it was a bonus when I listened to it. I'll try to add it to the refosoul index, or maybe my youtube channel, at some point.
Stockholmsoulfox Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) Looking at old SS topics this is one of only a few known copies of the Luther Ingram Orchestra 'Exus Trek' on an orange stock copy with Detroit address and 'Wylie' credit. Even though I mainly collect modern and crossover stuff this is an iconic instrumental and one I really wanted, I used to have it on the orange 70's reissue but sold it years ago.. Listed as vg condition because of some slight surface scuffs to the vocal side 'Exus Trek' is in great, glossy, condition, a VG ++ and both sides play strong and clear!! No drill hole either.. A present from a very kind hearted soul on here who will go to heaven for sending me this heavenly tune and being a total technophobe I am unable to provide a link to the song! Please can someone explain how to do such wizardry!? Edited August 16, 2013 by 3littlepigs
