The pictures are upside down because you held your phone/camera upside down while taking the photos. Use the rotate function in windows photo viewer to turn them the right way round.

Had a few decent finds in the record store sales over the last week or so - found these two yesterday...The Crystals (West Coast copy) and the Toys (Japanese Stateside EP), with their versions of, 'I Got A Man'.

Also came across a nice haul of original gold label Fania Boogaloo LPs - Bobby Valentin, Joe Bataan and Ray Barretto...none of that Venezuelan later press stuff!

Not sure this is a good thread as I can see what I've been spending!

Anyway, these are the last few things that Ive received:

Bobby Hill To The Bitter End LOLO 2307 (bought for the other side)

NORTHERN 45-THE DRAMATICS-ALL BECAUSE OF YOU ( a bit rough but very cheap)

Archie Bell & the Drells Tighten Up LP (bought for A Thousand Wonders, had the pic sleeve 45 but sold it and then missed it, this turned up absolutely stone mint)

FREDDIE SCOTT I'll Be Gone (Just over $30 off eBay - just the job)

MAVIS RIVERS - Footsteps Of A Fool (through the door today, might sell this on)

Cheers

I would have left that Radio Station sticker on mate - it's part of the history, gives it 'provenance', and looks better than the picture in post #69 where it has been removed.

Good man - I used to hate anything on record labels (stickers, writing) and then somehow changed my mind totally and really love the various adornments that there are on labels - mainly on DJ copies of course - especially official stamps, stickers, dated etc. I often seek out these things now

Cheers

Here's what came through the door in december....On an RnB early soul tint.

Willis Sanders and his Embers Honey-Bun Unart records. United Artists Doo wop rnb mover. great stuff.

The Cliques I wanna know why Modern ( blue issue ). RnB, group sound mover.

Jimmy McCracklin The Walk Checker. Old standard still sounding fresh.

Buddy Knox Ling-Ting-Tong Liberty. Later, Big city feel production of this cover of the Five Keys.( just searched this on the tube, and the only versions i could find sound nothing like the 45 i have, which is a relief.)

Bobby Hendricks I'm a big boy now Sue. Bit of a mover, with a feel of Bobby Adams' Don't leave.

D. Graham and the Crackers "the Big Al Walk" Dymo demo. Great drivin' Brass throughout on this up beat Instrumental belter.

Ray Charles Eleanor Rigby ABC-tangerine. ( Love this version from Ray, Full of soul and muchly under appreciated.)

Mitty Collier - I Got To Get Away - Chess - 25c - vg only

Major Lance - The Monkey Time - Epic - canadian - 25c - vg

Isley Brothers - Take Some Time Out - Tamla Motown - canadian - 25c - the 3 above not in the best shape but it is against my religion to leave known Soul 45's in thrifts :)

The Flirtations - Everybody Needs Somebody - Deram - canadian - 99c

Jr Walker - Cleo's Mood - Soul - 99c

Not soul - The Jaguars - Where Lovers Go - Faro promo - nice picture label - $2

Album - Mandrill - Composite Truth - Polydor - $2

Couple landed this weekend

Jack Montgomery - Dont Turn Your Back On Me

Sounds crazy but I've only ever bought that record for it's B side, Never In A Million Years (inst), one of the best instrumentals ever...A side is great also but prefer the B.

What a tune ! I bought the 12 when it came out. It's the only song I know that has one verse and nothing else, not even. A chorus. So good, I played it on my radio show two weeks ago !

I used to think this (well still do really) but Royal Mail have to pay Customs & Excise to release the mail on our behalf, so obviously they have to get that back, not sure what the handling charge is for though
