Cheers in advance,

The plain ones mainly came from that big West Coast find and are all on styrene - so presumably the vinyl ones with the record designs are East Coast.

I know, I paid a reasonable price for a copy (blue disc) 10 or so years ago and see it for a lot less.

My mate and I got into the b side for while.

craig moerer had the brunt of them,,,,still got it up for sale now make you wonder how many they found..his buy it now price is ridiculous but does auction them now and again ( got one on now ) and obviously goes nowhere near $600

i had a east coast w/d..still sold it tho after the find

Was this the first use of that backing track or second?.

I was wondering that, in terms of "La Reine La Mar - That's not the way to love". Probably both the same year I'm guessing?

Also...Did Marion release any LP's or other work? Was her other 45 any good (The man I love / I'm the girl)? I've not heard it and can't seem to find an MP3 or anything either. Might just buy blind and see!

Thanks, Steve

This is a bit vague Steve but I'm sure The Man I Love starts off with fake crowd cheering noises to make it sound live! I might be thinking of something else...

Yep, that is a big vague but thanks anyway :D . I'll try and get hold of a copy and see. I digress a little, but the only record I think I have with fake crowd cheering noises is "The O'Jays - Live!" LP on MFP with the rather nice "Just another guy" and would be better without the fake cheering dubbed over the start and end.

OK just for you I just played it, it does indeed start with applause and cheering to make it sound live, the song is the Gershwin standard with a stomping beat. it's pretty terrible. The other side is a frighteningly dull ballad with no redeeming features whatsoever.

Was thinking top whack was £240 then on a bad day £120 or a good day for the buyer, see plenty around but really in sales boxes so most must be in collections.

What about the price on a demo ?
