Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I have a single by Lee Eldred - Recouperating but no idea what it is or much about it other side is Leave Me Your Love. on Chess records It's not worth anything much to speak of, a tenner tops if that. It came out in 1971, and was originally on a (I think) New York label called (again,I think) 'Archives', and Chess picked it up when it started to break out. "Leave Me Your Love" was the actual A side. I think it's a good deepish soul tune myself... Lee Eldred later had a couple of big club tunes at the height of disc, "Shackin' Baby" and "How's Your Love Life". Anyone who liked the recently-revived old Mecca tune by Willie J & co., "Boogie With Your Baby", should check out the largely instrumental part two of "Love Life" - used to be a huge record for Chris Hill at the Lacy Lady c. 1976... ...er, that's about all I can tell you about Lee Eldred, really!
