Guest WPaulVanDyk Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 (edited) Does anyone know where you can find a list of all Motown songs recorded by artists prefabably 60's and 70's. I might contact Motown to see if they can help. Just that i would want that. I found a site that lists all Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson hits he recorded on Motown with some rare stuff i wasn't expected. I have this vision of unhearthing some kind of Motown cover version that was not expected like Diana Ross and the Supremes - Jimmy Mack. Not that they did it but imagine if you heared they recorded it or anything like that not just Diana Ross. Edited April 7, 2006 by WPaulVanDyk
Rob Moss Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 There is a very comprehensive book called 'Off The Record' by Reg. Bartlette which lists EVERY release. Manifesto have copies for sale I believe.
Phild Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Try this. The site's not always up but it features, on the face of it anyway, all motown recorded songs released or otherwise. Another SS member put me onto it last week. I've found it very useful in identifying artists on my Jobete acetates. https://www.a1-network.com/dftmc/main.html Cheers Phil
Supercorsa Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 This is a very good site for Motown & other Detroit record label listings. >> Click Here <<
Supercorsa Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 One other thing, Roger Stewart has a listing of all the UK released motown singles, on his site at Boogaloo Records.
Boogaloo Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Hi For albums, inc Motown and virtually every other major (and quite a few minor ones) is Album Discographies https://www.bsnpubs.com/discog.html For everything Motown try this one; The Ultimate guide to Motown.
