Got to agree with you and discussed this yesterday , so many big money tunes hammered to death nowadays and lesser played cheapies so, so overlooked and deserve recognition.

I played Loves gone bad by Chris Clark at The 44 Club last week and it sounded awesome blasted out loud.

I played the Velvelettes "A bird in the hand"b on VIP tonight....just before i settled down for the golf....sounded fantastic!

Chris

Fantastic record - All the ingredients that make it a feel good track - BUT - ' You Got Me Hurtin All Over ' on the flip is one of my all time faves on the label... double soulful bubble!

Blimey!! Literally just taken this off the turntable. Great track, most of these Motown tracks also lead back to the "cheap oldies" threads, all value for money compared with some of todays big tunes.

ITS WHATS IN THE GROOVE THAT COUNTS!

My favourite from mr gordys empire would have to be THE ISLEY BROTHERS..ALL BECAUSE I LOVE YOU,flip over behind a painted smile and you find this fantastic slab of soul, cheap as chips.

I think that the Isley's "I hear a symphony" has got to be my favourite from the Gordy empire! Brilliant biggrin.gif

Contour's "first i look at the purse" not far behind shades.gif

5 Motown 45s guaranteed to fill the dancefloor and can be picked up for a couple of quid each I think.

Why when love has gone - Isley brothers

Love is like an itching in my heart - Supremes

Helpless - Kim Weson

Something about you - Four Tops

To win your heart - Laura Lee
