Craig W Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Got to agree with you and discussed this yesterday , so many big money tunes hammered to death nowadays and lesser played cheapies so, so overlooked and deserve recognition. I played Loves gone bad by Chris Clark at The 44 Club last week and it sounded awesome blasted out loud.
Chris Anderton Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I played the Velvelettes "A bird in the hand"b on VIP tonight....just before i settled down for the golf....sounded fantastic! Chris

Harrogatesoul Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Fantastic record - All the ingredients that make it a feel good track - BUT - ' You Got Me Hurtin All Over ' on the flip is one of my all time faves on the label... double soulful bubble! ATB Rich

Guest dundeedavie Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 I've got to say all roads lead back to MOTOWN yeah played a couple myself at dundee ... including my current fave Marvin Gaye and Kin Weston "what good am i without you ?"
Eamesy Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 yeah played a couple myself at dundee ... including my current fave Marvin Gaye and Kin Weston "what good am i without you ?" Blimey!! Literally just taken this off the turntable. Great track, most of these Motown tracks also lead back to the "cheap oldies" threads, all value for money compared with some of todays big tunes. Alan
