Guest northwest vinyl Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Hiya - I'd appreciate if anyone could shed some light on this for me. I understand there are three versions of Lou Courtney's "I Watched You Slowly Slip Away" on Philips, and I am trying to determine which one I have. I believe the hand-claps changed from version to version? I don't know more than that. What are the differences between the three versions (assuming I'm correct that there are three versions)?
ShorterSoul Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Hi, John Manship has soundfiles for 2 of the 3 versions on his site, as follows:- Version 1 - phillips stock issue, no Lou on intro, girl backing throughout Version 3 - phillips demo, lou singing on intro, added handclaps and strong sax break.. hope this helps Jon
