Guest
In the "Dan Folger - Cream or Crap" thread that i put up recentley, DundeeDavie proceeded to destroy one of my all time favourites for me by pointing out the similarity to "Four Vandles - Wrong Side of Town" . He noted the chord progression e.t.c. Anyway upshot is i keep listening for things like this when i play other tracks, (Damn you Davie !!), & the other day i stuck on one of my favourite Motown LP's "Temptations With A Lot O Soul". Some great tracks on there, most notably their version of "Save My Love For A Rainy Day". But on listening to "It's You That I Need I Need", another great track, i couldn't help but notice it's similarity, in parts, to "Ernie" by Benny Hill !!! . I wil try & put a sound file up sometime soon, but if you have it already, try singing after the slow break towards the end of the track, "A womans needs are many fold & Sue she married Ted, but strange things happened on thier wedding night as they lay in thier bed !, Was that the trees a rustling or the hinges on the gate ? Or Ernie's ghostly gold tops a rattlin in their crate !" Also if you listen carefully after the first verse, you can hear Trigger's hoof's pound as they race across the ground !! Davie, im starting to wish i had never spoken to you ! Sorry folks ! Wrote down wrong track initially, meant to put "It's You That I Need" not "All That I Need" . Both tracks on album. Changed it now.Temptations___It_s_You_That_I_Need.MP3 Edited April 1, 2006 by B-side-B Link to comment Social source share

Tsu Tomatoes
Sorry, but here's another one that's been killed for me now. 'Er indoors says the Gospel Classics 'More Love' sounds like the theme tune of Steptoe & Son. Link to comment Social source share

" Ted went for is Bun !, but Ernie was to quick for him & a Strawberry flavoured Yogurt sent it spinning from his hand " Brilliant lyrics !! the man was a comedy genius, shame he relied to heavily on the scantily clad female towards the end of his career ( then again perhaps not ? ) as he was far more than a one track pony !
