Guest
Probably gonna get a spanking off all the hooligans on this but ive never checked this one out? About 6 summers or so back on Richards Cellarfullofsoul he ran the Footy 3s? quite a novel idea for radio. Sunday roast and taters were on the go and i was cutting my privet and horthorns in the front garden. Windows were wide open and i was giving the whole close a taste. Clipping away , Richard pops from someones selection, Aint i worth a dime! Beautiful track and i thought to myself now thats one you dont hear too often ,first time ever on a uk radio show methinks. Like Linda Jones,Nancy Wilson there is that pivotal moment that everyone waits for in anticapation. But with Laine Hill although not as extended as the other 2 you really feel and hear the wanton Despair, frustration, and sadness in that plea and then the backing vocals inject the ooohs which brings it back down! Beautiful moment. Now my copy is the blue pressed for demand wigan copy! which was the only one ide ever heard it on. And from that point the backing takes out the song to a fade. The one Richard played continued on and on before the ending? Now ive never had an original so- is the issue a fuller recording than the Blue New Voice or Was it an alternate take, Or whas it a different artist alltogether? When i tried to re wind the recording ide missed the lot! tape had run out. Link to comment Social source share

Bob
Just gave Lainie Hill a spin, Lainie & the backing vocalists are there all the time through the fade out until the record ends. Hope this helps. Link to comment Social source share

Cheers Bob so does mine But its the length of the out that caused me notice back then and ive never had the 2 together to compare if they are the same or the blue labeled copy is faded earlier. Just curious really. Thanks anyway Link to comment Social source share
