Guest Dodger Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Is this the one Soul Sam plays too ? It's like giving sweets to my kids, if one gets a bar of chocolate then the other has to have one as well or they'll cry and feel left out.
Guest Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 It's like giving sweets to my kids, if one gets a bar of chocolate then the other has to have one as well or they'll cry and feel left out. Oh bless, don't think I have ever seen Sam cry

Guest Trevski Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 anyone got any info on Evil..get away from me ?? Male artist.. and Belita woods ..Something ???Girl ....Female mid tempo X/over thanx Posse -Evil-Janus. Should get one reasonably cheap from ebay, as I have seen a few for £40ish. JM has one for £100 on set sale. Got one quite a while ago. Spun it out at Rugby, Soulsville, Wilton etc to fine reaction. One of those tunes that was played in the '70's as a new release, Wigan. Cleethorpes etc. Briliant! Belita Woods C/U , superb! Was rumoured to be the 'B' side of the Rita & Tiaras C/U, but as Andy D has a 'Rita' and does'nt play 'Foolish Girl', I recon this is just hearsay.

Never heard Andy play "foolish girl' tho' which I'm sure he would have done, had it been on the 'b' side. I know I would!!! Anyone confirm?? Edited March 27, 2006 by Trevski

Guest Trevski Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 It is the B side. Got to be one of the best 'double siders' ever, then!!
Guest Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 It is the B side. Of "Surprise"? I understand the northern appeal of both sides, but they are both somewhat poppy, don't you think? "Foolish Girl" reminds me of Brenda Holloway "When I'm Gone", but Brenda Holloway is better. Still, it's always nice with some newer tunes, instead of hearing the same old stuff for the 1137th time I guess.
Quinvy Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Ooops! forgot the sound files on the first post! How do you come to have an mp3 of Foolish Girl then Trevski?

But Foolish Girl is fantastic, Andy has still got it, but for some reason he doesn't play Foolish Girl much. Tim Brown also has a copy.
Winnie :-) Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Oh bless, don't think I have ever seen Sam cry ============= You want to see him cry? Ask him what he thinks of R&B Karen

Des Crombie Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 NO DISRESPECT DEZ BUT Would that be a six inch red hot rusty nail? Ouch that sounds sore, got me crossing me legs just thinking oh it. No dig intended at you or your morals Gasher, it was meant to be sarcastic. I was mainly referring to the far out of touch up here bit . Chalky Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 (edited) How do you come to have an mp3 of Foolish Girl then Trevski? they came from that tall lanky **** Gavin who on the quiet recorded some sets at the rocket. Others then passed copies on. They shouldn''t be posted on a public forum as they were done without the owners permission IMHO. Edited March 28, 2006 by chalky
wendy Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 this tune seems familiar - it reminds me of that tv series that was on in the 80s with wendy craig - is it the bside or something?
