spinneaussplit Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Hello, are the 45s in this box lookalikes? I got a curtis liggins on kaycee for a decent price and I would like to know if there is any chance to identify the reissue? Thanks a lot. Sven

Sven As Boba says the info is in the deadwax - BUT NOTE there are alot of 45's appearing on ebay from the Numero Omnibus Replica Set as single items (Sag War Fare, Curtis Liggins etc) that are being sold with unhelpful if not misleading descriptions - so be aware.. spinneaussplit Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 Thanks Boba, but didn´t pay till yet. Recognized that all his other 45 he has for sale where in the omnibus set too. Didn´t ask for deadwax numbers, cause that was too much chance for me. Wanted him to cancel the buy today, didn´t get a answer yet. As much as i like the idea of such boxes, I am asking myself why this 45s needs to be lookalikes and so much 45s in one box. Vol 1 is out, but how many will follow. Shady sellers use these offer to split the box up and sell it as original or doesn´t state if it´s a reissue or not.

I'm guessing they didn't and that they'll put more info on the label in the future. Some of the records were not really published and they published them -- if you see "Dust Index" on the label, it's a reissue.
MrsWoodsrules Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 To be fair, most of the ones I've seen have had 're-issue' clearly marked, there was another Two plus Two on Velgo the other day, trouble is, they are 'lookalikes' so buyer beware. Aid.
