Does anyone have or know anything about the Peterborough Northern soul badge from the Wirrana days, i only hear of it could be East Anglian soul club but never seen a patch for it only for Peterborough Fleet.

I don't know if this one's of any use to you.

I reproduced it to exact spec from an old worn out badge ages ago.

I have got a patch from the Wirrina Peterbourough 1st Anniversary Niter Jan 21st 1984.

Sorry cant post patch up as computer not loading properly.

The niter was run by the All - Nighter Club of Great Britain.

You are right Karen,the Wirrina ran back in 75 under the "Phoenix soul Club" banner,can`t remember the guy who ran the PSC,a nice bloke went around his house a couple of times i`m sure he had a big parrot in his lounge,Paul Donnely from P`boro will remember him,i have a PSC All Nighter poster,saying All Nighter at

Wirrina Stadium P`Boro,Fri 28th Nov 1975,10 till 8,feat,Colin Curtis,John Vincent,Tony Deller,plus the PSC roadshow,+ Limmie & Family Cooking,members £1.50,non members £1.75,membership 30p + SAE :yes:

Wirrina also held allnighters run by Ken Cox after St.Ives got closed down under the EASC banner. I think it also had nighters run by someone else later so a few promotors used the venue :thumbsup:

I can remember seeing Jnr Walker at the Wirrina must have been around 78 I should think

That's been a great help, Real Thing, Major Lance, Exciters also played at Wirrana as my dad saw them and tells me about it. but them patches would be great to own.

I'm confused :yes: ............Second aniversary 1986?........The first Fleet Alnighter was in 1978

I reckon the first Wirrina nighter was in 74.... can't be sure, just a school kid then. :yes:

Wasn't the 30 yr "reunion" (ok, they didnt stick to the script, but what the hell) in July 2004?

Where's Mr Donnelly... he'll tell us for sure? :thumbsup:

That's been a great help, Real Thing, Major Lance, Exciters also played at Wirrana as my dad saw them and tells me about it. but them patches would be great to own.

and found this ticket stub from that night which i went to when the Exciters were on,

also a PSC badge from around that time :D:unsure:

Yes , not the first time they clashed with the Motown revue @ Hinkley and Jr. walker, Eddie Holman and Major Lance @ the Wirrana ( Major Lance coudn`t make it to ill :yes: ).

You should go if you ever in Peterborough great venue and night, i like it see Nigel DJ a lot there he runs it a lot. Where is Paul Donnelly. I not seen him DJ for a bit. He was the big one for DJing back then and Brian Rae at Fleet.

Not sure you could call the Fleet a "great venue" by todays standards mate :(

Paul's a member on here and still keeps his hand in DJing :yes:
