Does anyone on here still go ?

I was speaking to a guy at the weekend who said he goes twice a year, said endless 45s for 10/20c each ,all different genres , im not bothered about picking up big ticket items but would i be able to pick up a good amount of tunes to resell at the prices this guy said they sold for ? most 45s i sell here in Australia i sell for $10 -15 so was wondering how viable a trip would be as id need to buy around 1000 45s to make it a good option

Probably not the Rose Bowl, but maybe Pasadena City College? That market does have loads of record dealers. Either way, you'll want to get there EARLY in the morning.

I was there just this weekend....certainly not endless 45's for days! Probably less than 5 sellers concentrating on singles, with the majority selling LP's.

There were a few other guys that had a 100 count box starting at 25 to 50 cents, but pretty much full with country and suchlike. There's a few dealers there which have prices starting at $3 a pop, but everyone kinda knows what they're selling.

You might get a few bargains, but certainly not at the prices you're saying....and yeah, to get the REAL deals, expect to get there 'round about 5am.
