The Tempest Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I know it's rare but anybody know how many copies were pressed ? and what's the rest of the album like as I've only heard the title track ?
Stillsoulin Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 not a lot pressed, given out at gigs i think, a one tracker in reality, rest of the lp is ok, but nothing comes anywhere near the greatness of the title track. took me a long time to get one and no one wants to let it go once aquired. Rob.
Steve Plumb Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Think Rob's right, it's a one tracker (although haven't played the other tracks in many years so maybe some funky northern monster hiding on there LOL) I was lucky enough to buy a copy on ebay (in the late 90's i think?) and the seller offered me two more copies I know the two lads i sold them to still have them and like Rob says, nobody wants to part with it once they've got it! Cheers Steve
Guest OSCARP Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) As Usual John Anderson sold me one in 80's for £25 and also at similar time bought Natural impulse for £35 or £45 , all went to Rod Dearlove in one of my sell off's in 1989, some nice records I had sold got played at Thorne just after LOL. Yep, Rod played these both at the same time at Thorne at that time, so more than a coincidence eh?
Hammersoul Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Think the 3 copies i had were also signed Wayne Got a feeling one of them copies ended up down South via Scotland lol.
Epic Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Think the 3 copies i had were also signed Wayne Probably would have been better if they had been signed Gregg !! 2
jocko Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Its a crap one tracker and should not go for any more than about £75 which is still generous given it is a one tracker and it is effectively a DIY press. Anyone got one for sale at that price Who in Scotland had these?

Stillsoulin Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I got mine from a guy in sweden, who had 2 copys at the time, mine is also signed, again giving credence to the theory that they were given out at gigs. Rob.
Sean Hampsey Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I got mine from the very wonderful Steve Plumb - after he beat me to a copy on eBay back in 1999 - and I emailed him a tirade of abuse. Fabulous record. Sean
Guest Adrian Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Had the choice of this lp or the Hunts Determination Band lp at the time from the seller on ebay in 1999, could only afford one, yep I chose the wrong one.... oh well can't win them all
