MarkWhiteley Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Can anyone please tell me how old the following two rarities are: Guitar ray - "You're gonna wreck my life" Vickie Labatt - "Baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby" - or at least you'd think that was the title... She must get f**king sick of saying "baby" - "Got to keep hanging on" Both on Shagg - how old? Thanks in advance.
Guest LeoLyxxx Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Must be around 1971-3 i would guess.. sorry no exact info and i might be wrong. There's another good Shagg 45 by the Barons i think Btw G Ray doesn't have a date.. TIMELESS!! best Leo
MarkWhiteley Posted October 1, 2004 Author Posted October 1, 2004 Yeah aggree with you - TIMELESS! Isn't it fantastic <-- notice here the lack of question marks in a question... that's because I'm not asking - I'M F**KING TELLING!!!!
MarkWhiteley Posted October 4, 2004 Author Posted October 4, 2004 My Guitar Ray has water damage, not to bad on 'Wreck My Life' side, but only showshalf a label on flip. Just wondered if someone could attach a scan of the other side, would be nice to see credits, etc. And also... Just curious of who arranges it. Can't read from mine. Again, thanks in advance Que Leo to the rescue!
Guest PeterW Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 On a playlist from Steve Guarnori's radio show the release year of Guitar R is 1974. Regards /Peter
Guest Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Guitar Ray produced by Senator Jones, arranged by Clyde Toval
Garethx Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Donald Lee Richardson: "Bring Your Sweet Love To Me" / "The Midnight Ride Of Paul Revere" was supposed to have appeared on Shagg before Soulsville. Has anyone got one or ever seen one? Two brilliant sides of New Orleans soul magic.

You know that warped sound in the outro, mine doesn't but i've heard copies that are sound defected regarding the flip.. oh what a horrible tune The flip on Labatt on the other hand best Leo
