Bigsoulman Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Don't know the tune but interestingly enough it's written by Shel Talmy, long time producer of The Kinks and The Who in the early 60ts, I take it it's a garage type sound? Lenny

pikeys dog Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Blimey!! how much was SJ's Any one seen one of these befor Yep, seen a couple... Lack-lustre Jazz track that has crossed over from the R&B rooms to the Northern rooms. Can't understand why they've plumped for this one, when there are loads of crackin' uptempo R&B tracks that scream Northern at you...
Guest Baz Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Can't understand why they've plumped for this one, when there are loads of crackin' uptempo R&B tracks that scream Northern at you... Doesn't really do much for me to be honest, like you say far better 'crackin' tracks..............but its catchy and that has a massive effect.

Sebastian Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) Lack-lustre Jazz track that has crossed over from the R&B rooms to the Northern rooms. I'm not saying that it's a soul tune but... jazz? Seriously? Shel Talmy wrote it prior to his move to England. The Dra issue is from 1961/1962, the United Modern issue is from 1965. Edited March 22, 2006 by Sebastian
