Godzilla Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Take a look at this discussion on the Garage Punk Forum https://www.garagepunk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24195 I guess it's heartening to see collectors of other kinds of music working together to spread info and stop the scammers. On the other hand it's disturbing to see the practice of lifting scans and advertising non-existant items is becoming more prevalent. Maybe we should exchange on crooks between forums? Godz
Paulw Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Looks like lifting scans can be a profitable pastime on its own. This fella has been doing it on Ebay for ages: SPECIAL OFFER Black-Music Book Part 1 - Revision 11 CD uploaded with 2.628 scans and as a special bonus with all the company sleeves. 1.807 pages full of records and as special bonus 86 pages addresses of label companies. The main area is from 1977 to 1987. Table of contents: 1) Preface 2) Preface about Revision 1 3) Description of the Black-Music Book 4) Black-Music Book Part 1 Records (1807 pages) 5) Black-Music Book Part 1 Labels (86 pages)
