Take a look at this discussion on the Garage Punk Forum

I guess it's heartening to see collectors of other kinds of music working together to spread info and stop the scammers. On the other hand it's disturbing to see the practice of lifting scans and advertising non-existant items is becoming more prevalent. Maybe we should exchange on crooks between forums?

Looks like lifting scans can be a profitable pastime on its own. This fella has been doing it on Ebay for ages:
