Pete S
some r quite close though what about john e paul----------i wanna know paula parfett---------love is wonderful danny williams---------who,s little girl are you all booted and for a non uk buyer look pretty close copies ???????? ++++++++++cafc we need a miracle now+++++++++++++++++++ John E Paul and danny Williams aren't bootlegs, they were pressed by Decca specifically for the northern scene. Easy to tell as the matrix isn't inverted above the catalogue number on the reissues. Micky Moonshine was also repressed by them. Link to comment Social source share

Guest
Hello, We listed the single under the impression that it was real. We checked out a really nice collection in Detroit recently, and the single was among the items we purchased. For those of you who brought the case against, we do appreciate it. We've emailed the buyer to tell him that he is under no obligation to buy. Kind Regards, Charles Sipperley Encore Recordings Ann Arbor Link to comment Social source share

Geordiejohnson
yeh i think they can do it but it's not 'carbon dating' geordie, that was my only point. it's some other method using radioactive isotopes other than carbon-14...(or so i read on the internet ) Hi Dan ..No your right it wasnt carbon dating they use some other method that for patent reasons i cannot divulge......and i didnt understand it when i worked there I dunno Geordie. Over a thousand dollars for a boot? He must have known something about rare soul records to be bidding in the first place. There is a host of tell tell signs and if that wasn't enough the seller said "we're not sure if it's an original" and the guy still paid over a grand and you don't think that's dumb? Okay, I mean I feel sorry for the bloke, how's naive sound ...? Ian yeh naive is a luuuverrly word ... looks like the poor buggers landed on his feet thanks to a true gent of a seller ....top marks to Charles Sipperley Geeoooordie Link to comment Social source share
