No Angel Channel 4 Last Night

hi there soulies donse anyone no the tracks that were played on no angels channel 4 last night please they played one just before the first advert but couldnt catch it help please thank you .

good cd too... got mine from the first series.... this is the last ever one though... bit of a no angels fan myself and love the music.

Glad you like it. It is produced in Leeds and forms part of Channel 4's production quota out of London, which is 30% of original programming or £115m of annual investment in talent across the UK.

PS Made Leeds but is it authentic - I've never seen Pat Brady selling records in a scene yet?

Saw a clip from a porn film (I was watching it for purely educational reasons, I'm doing research on advanced sexual positions in case I suddenly get lucky!) the other day and they were playing Lou Pride's I'm com'un home in the morning in the background...hope he's getting some royalties.

So who is responsible for selecting the music for the series then Stuart? Is it you? crackin' good taste

Its the producers but they are encouraged to make the soundtrack relevant to the drama but to use music that can add to the series. Sometimes they hire musical advisers. Our commerical development team want music that is not easily available in the charts so the the CD is also attractive to viewers. Its for that reason that northern soul is so attractive, upbeat, feel good but not a chart hit. '

No Angels' is more soul, 'Shameless' is more indie. But that's more to do with the characters and the drama.

stuart, can you not sort out a 'proper' documentary on our beloved scene?

Martin Bashir would ideal - he is welcome to join us at our own Neverland ranch in North Wales next week. laugh.gif

Could you imagine Martin Bashir trying to get sense out of our 'Kenneth Backdoor' at 6.50 in the morning? He would have more joy with wacko Jackos pet llamas! :yes: Maybe you could draft in that Martin Snow who could try and engage Brett to discuss why bootlegs are a no-no?

To be brutally honest the whole thing would be a shambles and you would end up selling the whole production to Channel 5 for about £80. :huh:

The lad who plys Ian, the gay brother, was down prestwich last month. He was doing all the acrobatics and told a mate of mine he was doing boxing classes to improve his moves. He's new to the scene but was loving it.

Said it before, will say it again. Not a fan of the show and even less of a fan of the use of the soundtrack that supports the show.
