Tubbs Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 (edited) After just having picked up 3 soul 45s on South African labels. Presidents it's all over now A&M Undisputed truth You got the love I need Tamla Motown Brothers Are you ready for this RCA. I wondered what other soul 45s got issued there. TubbsMate of mine was a record rep out there in the late 70's early 80's he used to real off loads of titles which he was dealing with, problem was I never took much notice at the time.
Pete S Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 The South African release schedule was almost identical to that of the Uk, that's why you'll see Chapter Five and so on with triangle centres. Here's a very "aesthetically pleasing" copy of a Robert Parker classic from South Africa...note the label change from Island to Fontana.
pikeys dog Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Funny how they say its an 'Island' recording, when it's a Nola one that was leased to Island in the UK.
