After just having picked up 3 soul 45s on South African labels.

Presidents it's all over now A&M

Brothers Are you ready for this RCA.

I wondered what other soul 45s got issued there. I'm sure Pete Smith had quite a few on one of his lists but can't remember what they were.

Mate of mine was a record rep out there in the late 70's early 80's he used to real off loads of titles which he was dealing with, problem was I never took much notice at the time. thumbsup.gif

The South African release schedule was almost identical to that of the Uk, that's why you'll see Chapter Five and so on with triangle centres.

Here's a very "aesthetically pleasing" copy of a Robert Parker classic from South Africa...note the label change from Island to Fontana.

I had a Big Maybelle 'Quittin Time ' / 'Cant wait any Longer' on South African CBS that had a sample sticker on it.
