Guest vinylvixen Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 just answer yes or no, ps:sorry if i seem to be pushing but i know i have, what you defing as:soul! thanks anna king-make up your mind Nico, not quite sure where you're coming from, mate This is a ballad sung with soul. Try listening to Anna King 'Mama's got a bag of her own'......if you're not au fait with the different titles that are applied to genres within the 'Northern Soul' stable, people will be only too happy to help you out.... Theres: Beat Ballads/ Midtempo Monsters/ Stompers/ Oldies/ 6Ts Newies/ Rare Soul/ Cross Over/ Newies/ RnB/ Northern RnB/ 6Ts RnB......any one else like to expand on the above..... As for Mike McDonald, this is aimed at the middle of the road market....his duet with Toni Braxton from the second Motown covers CD made ideal listening on Smooth FM where it was played to death..... We're here to help

You've found us just in time........try www.soulclub.org - and ask as many questions as you like. There are soul nights in Belgium and there's a soul allnighter in Paris on March 18th. There are soul weekenders all over Europe and it wouldn't take you long to jump on Eurostar or a plane and come over to the UK and meet up with people from this list who would be delighted to guide you through the music we love. You only have to ask.....Jo Edited February 21, 2006 by vinylvixen

Closer to home and might give you some pointers... https://box44.bluehost.com/~popcorno/index.html Careful, we want to keep Nico on the straight and narrow....some of those Belgian Popcorn tracks are verging on the Matt Monroe.... There's only so much cowboy music I can take.....how about everyone sending Nico a Soul Source Rescue Pack in the form of cds with tracks of our choice..... Edited February 21, 2006 by vinylvixen
