Metropolitan Radio Soul Show - Sponsors Required

Guest

Recommended Posts

The Metropolitan Soul Show on starpointradio.com has been offered the opportunity of going out on the SKY Channel in the near future and we are looking for sponsors who be interested in benefitting from this. Starpoint Radio is the fastest growing internet radio Soul station and runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Metropolitan Soul Show is currently repeated four times a week on the internet and will go out on SKY on Sunday nights. The two hour show has a 70's-06 policy for the first hour and a Northern and 60's Soul policy for the second hour, therebye covering all bases. Starpoint Radio reaches across the world and has listeners in the U.K. Europe, America and Australia. Sponsorship would mean the broadcast of tailor made, personalised ads for your company or event every half hour during the show. It would mean mentions of your company or event as sponsors during the show, plus a mention on emails that go out to various internet websites and also to our own mailing list. The Metropolitan Soul Show's website will be up and running in the next two months and sponsorship would include links from that site to your own site, plus mentions in The "Metropolitan Soul" column in 'manifesto' magazine which is monthly and widely read across the Soul world. This is a unique opportunity not to be missed ! Interested or know someone who might be? Contact me .

On a more serious note-the sponsorship is just £15.00 a week ! Thats all - £15.00 ! £15.00 for an ad for you or whatever you want to advertise to go out on Sky and all over the internet world - and just £15.00! Imagine that!!

If you can get someone to split that cost, thats fine too-so for two sponsors it would be just £7.50 each !

How strange-the posting title seems to have changed.
Anyway, here are some pictures of some nice food items for you gastronomes out there.

Err, word to the Moderators..........since when has the word SEX been shocking to adults, all consenting, over the age of 18 - stop fiddling about with things unless they're offensive, rascist, ageist or sexist........
otherwise, the postings seem out of context and I feel like I'm being nannyed..........BHAH, FECK, DRINK, RUGBY PLAYERS............Jo

hi jo

thanks for your comments

i amended the title because it had no relevance to the topic. part of my job is to ensure threads receive maximum exposure as well as being easy to read and understand.

i like sex as much as the next man

thanks and i hope this clears things up (if not i may have some cream for it  )

Oh piffle, Shane............that explanation is like shaking hands with a limp lettuce leaf...........If everything in life had to be relevant to the topic then what a dull place it would be...........

Like Gene said, it was an attention grabber and if it draws attention to Simon's request for sponsorship - good. Taking the word SEX out of the title has reduced the amount of exposure it's going to get....watch the hits drop.

What relevance has a near naked model draped over a pile of Firestone Tyres or a Japanese bike at the Bike Show...........NONE.......what relevance had the naked women on the album cover of 'Electric Ladyland' to the music of Hendrix........NONE - but SEX sells....Simon was doing just that...........I'm off for a humour bypass.........

well i tried to be reasonable but who gives a f***. sometimes wonder why i bother helping out when i get s*** like this.

i have suggested to pete smith that he uses 'mad axeman runs riot in wolverhampton market' as a header for his next sales list.

come on people

all thats occured is a mod has changed a title to fit in with subject

dunno what original title was

but whats the problem ?

idea of all moderation is to help the forums keep moving, easy to use and so on

seems like in this case thought a change to the title would do this, didnt come over as a big thing, and suprised to see that some thought it was

sure that the "original title" had served its purpose well, and way i read it was a light hearted response to a light hearted post

maybe in future may be a idea to add something like was:(orignal post)

end of day seems only reason it was changed was to reflect the content

as said whats the problem with doing that?

Shane, part of being a Moderator is being moderate. The above reply isn't reasonable or constructive - you're implying that what I wrote in response to your statement was sh*t. I know your decision is final but allow people to make a response without being 'barnyard'.

For people that still remotely interested, I replied to your point that you removed the word SEX from the topic header as it wasn't relevant to Simon's post for sponsorship. I raised the issue that sex has, will and always will be used as an irrelevant, attention grabbing addition to 99% of the products it's applied to - I even used examples.

If you don't like my reply in reponse to your Moderator's response - fine - but don't take it as a personal attack on you, Shane. People will reply and use stronger language than 'piffle'.....at the end of the day, let's hope Simon gets his sponsorship as I think I'm forgetting what it was we're posting for....and I thought the 'Electric Ladyland' was a great example

Don't get disheartened - you're doing a great job - you should know me by now..........FECK, DRINK, SEX. Your suggestion for Pete Smith was genius - I hope he uses it  Off to start a new thread - Woman Molests DJs 7inches and gets away with it............

Wow, what a HUGE chorizo you've got, Simon :D Has that helped you to get the measly sum of 15 Great British Pounds per week for sponsorship yet? That sausage is worth a pony AT LEAST.... :P Jo x

:P:P - now that's funny.............you can have your one liners broadcast for as little as 15 sovs per week.... :D Jo

An update - The cut off date for the sponsorship deal to put the Metroplitan Soul Show onto Skydigital was last week and despite some near offers, we didn't manage to get what was needed for that. None of this effects The Metropolitan Soul Show which still goes out LIVE on Wednesdays at 1.30-3.30 pm GMT but is no longer repeated on Sundays at 6. The show still repeats throughout the week and the new schedules for the station are being changed, so more when I find out. Thanks for all the support emails, especially from Mark Bicknall, "Buster" and Jo Wallace and a big "haven't you got anything better to do?" to the individuals who made it their business to snipe! I hate to think what you were like in the school playground.... As for all the offers of sex.... I'm still going through them (it could take some time) but will be contacting the applicants in due course. One I can answer right now - Roger Williams, the answer is and always will be 'NO'. I have contacted the RSPCA.
