Fed up of 'rescuing' idiots this week If it had been for a bit more, ££ wise, I might have got the horse and badge out! In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team. This could be us guys!!! first glance Pete, without even looking close I'd say here we go again Sorry mate I was being facetious, it was obvious from the second I saw it, I just can't believe people can be so economical with the truth

pikeys dog Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Personally can't see owt wrong with his ad. Sensible starting price for a boot. Doesn't state that it's 'Mega Rare' or Original. Not even a look-a-likey. Probably avoided the word 'Boot' so he didn't get his listing pulled?

Could easily have said 2nd issue/re-issue though, couldn't he? Saying nothing is as bad as deceit, in my book. Those that know its a boot ignore it, those that don't get caught out. pikeys dog Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Buyer Beware. Ignorance is no defence. There's plenty of places to find out what a real one looks like.
Guest Trevski Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 (edited) Buyer Beware. Ignorance is no defence. There's plenty of places to find out what a real one looks like. If you know where to look. Some people are not as savvy as you Joe. I like to think I can look out for them, if I can. Do unto others and you hope they will do the same for you, and all that, not do unto others, then f*** off laughing with their money. Ignorance may not be a defence, but it is to be helped and informed if possible. So you'd just stand by and let people get ripped off? People who put stuff up with ambiguous descriptions are just hoping to catch some uninformed 'idiot' who will pay silly money for their boots, plain and simple. Would you do that? 'cos I wouldn't, and don't care to associate with anyone who would. We all like to make a bit of money on ebay, It's how we do it that counts. Just because others sucker the uninformed is no excuse for us all to do it, and I will continue to try and stop those who do, whoever they are. Anyway, I've put a poll up, so lets see where we stand on this Edited February 16, 2006 by Trevski

Gene-r Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Looking at his other sales, they're all reissues/boots apart from the Temprees on Stax. But he hasn't said so!
