Guest Dan Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Following on from the 'was crap, now good' thread, can anyone help me with whether this is any good or not? I know it sounds mad but I can't decide. It may be a grower, it may be a thrower. At the moment I'm 70:30 against but think it would sound great played really loud. It's Felice Taylor by the way

Guest Dan Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 thanks all for replies. think it confirms what i thought ie would be great loud. real trad northern. it is a shame about the vocal though - just a bit screechy and not partic tuneful. now mary love would have been nice... other side is good too.

Soulsmith Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Am I alone in thinking this is truly awful load of old pap. Dire lyrics & a helium filled delivery. Best summed up in one word, trite. Bin it before it causes some real damage. Col

Guest Dan Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 see, you've swayed me back the other way now, you two. i agree, it is a bit shit. like i say, a grower or a thrower? i think i need to hear it really really loud but even then, those vocals.
Simon T Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Like 'I can feel you love' and 'I feel love coming on' ruined by her vocal - too high pitch and nasal, just like Diana Ross!
Guest Baz Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Every one is just two picky these days What happend to the good old days when it was the driving beat that got you hooked on a record Seriously would rather listen to this than some of the seventys stuff thats going about (at a nighter anyway)
