LOL, now I am confused Col LarsC said: wasn't that the tune that was booted on a 45 recently as towanda barnes ? I dont know mate, would not suprise me, I have not heard it, this is an acetate I bought in the late 1980's at a niter and is just a dub presumably Col
February 9, 200619 yr Cheers mate, I have seen it. The acetate has "Herman Hitson" scrawled on it. Its sounds more like Herman than Towanda. I guess Towanda would not sing "lonely lonely man am I" unless she has recently visited a gender assignement clinic lol
February 9, 200619 yr 4. I think is Herman Hitson's unreleased version. Can't hear 2 & 3, but guessing 3 might be First Time by the Embers on JCP?

I have just registered with the site again Simon, so I can host clips, may take a day or so for paypal payment to work its way through. Could be the Embers on reflection, starts of with heavy horns then mellows out

Richard Searling played it off an acetate at Clifton Hall/Stafford and certainly Wigan Edited February 9, 200619 yr by SteveM
February 9, 200619 yr The acetate with Hermon Hitson on it is supposedly Nate Adams who recorded on Atlantic. He and Sam Williams both had records produced by Johnny Brantley. Tomo
